Membership

The prospective member process begins with attending a membership meeting and submitting a completed Application Form and secure the 3 Sponsor signatures for probationary membership. All fees must be included at the time of form completion. This includes the necessary Annual Dues along with the Application Fee of $250.00 based on the age and NRA status of the prospective member. Probationary members are required to complete 25 hours of club service as directed by a member of the work committee. and must be completed within 12 months of being voted in as a probationary member.

Probationary membership is allowed for up to 5 probationary members at one time. Should a prospective member wish to join and there are currently 5 probationary members, the prospective member will be assigned a waiting list number. As stated above all fees must be paid prior to being assigned a waiting list number. The individuals who are on the waiting list must attend all meetings to insure that they will be voted on should an opening occur.

During each monthly club meeting the President or his designee will dedicate part of the meeting to membership and will allow for probationary members to be voted into the club as long as it does not conflict with the rule regarding the maximum of 5 probationary members. Should there be openings the President or his designee will call the name of the next person on the waiting list to become a probationary member. Should an individual who is on the waiting list not be present at the time his or her name is called, they will lose all rights to membership in Twin Lakes Sportsmen Club inc. The party will forfeit any and all monies paid toward this membership.

Once the probationary member has performed all duties and service time as prescribed by the club; a vote of the full members present; taken at a regularly scheduled meeting, to grant full membership shall occur. This is a no fault policy meaning that there are no exceptions to this policy. Failure to follow the policy will preclude you from becoming a full member.

Appeals to this procedure must follow the club’s appeal procedure and any grievance must be filed in writing per the appeal procedure.
